Wet lab

The Leibniz-Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries in Berlin owns an amount of ponds, which can be used for different projects, like for students, stocking experiments or theses.

All in all 17 ponds and a bigger pond at the IGB can be used for experiments. Partly some of the ponds are stocked with sturgeons, carps, roach, breem or as well with salmonids. The freshwater for the ponds comes directly from the neighbouring big lake Müggelsee.
