Lehre

(1) Integrative Fisheries Management (FM  14)

  • know the major social and institutional approaches to derive sustainable solutions and
  • are able to derive solutions to management problems in fisheries and to think critically

(2) Sampling and Data Analysis in Fisheries Science (FM 16)

Students are empowered to

  • develop a scientific hypothesis in relation to fisheries,
  • plan and conduct a field sampling program in relation to fisheries and
  • apply a range of sampling gear and to document field data.

Students are able to

  • apply basic statistical models and to estimate key parameters of statistical models,
  • visualize and present fisheries data,
  • critically review own data in light of the state of the art and
  • write a scientific report on the own data collection
