On April 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM, a panel discussion on "Planetary Boundaries in the Anthropocene" will be held at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW). On the occasion of the Frontiers Planet Prize 2026, experts will discuss scientific breakthroughs that point toward solutions for the global ecological crises.
Following a welcome address by Academy President Christoph Markschies, our expert Robert Arlinghaus (National Champion 2025) will join Annette Grüters-Kieslich and the newly announced National Champion 2026 to discuss the political effectiveness of scientific planetary boundaries. The event provides a platform to critically examine the potential and limitations of current sustainability concepts and to provide essential guidance for the future.
