On the NDR program “Wer weiß denn sowas?”, a question was asked about the diurnal activity patterns of fish - a topic that was examined in a comprehensive analysis by a research group that included Prof. Dr. Robert Arlinghaus. The study shows that fish - much like humans - have different chronotypes: Some species are particularly active early in the day, while others “wake up” later. The quiz question can be seen starting at the 30:30 mark in the program.
